# Recovery 3001 0.4.0 Beta 1 Dev 10 R10

Dev 10 R10 makes preview useful for documents, video, CAD, and database files
that the app cannot render directly. It remains an unsigned Windows
development build, not a commercial GA release.

## What changed

- PDF preview shows the detected document start and bounded structural
  evidence, including page, encryption, and final markers when those markers
  are actually present in the inspected range.
- ZIP-based Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HWPX, and OpenDocument candidates show a
  plain-language document-format card and any matching bounded member evidence.
- Legacy Office/OLE, HEIC, MP4/MOV, AVI, WAV, DWG, and SQLite headers produce
  format-specific guidance instead of only `화면 미리보기 없음`.
- ASCII DXF now has a content signature, belongs to the CAD category, and can
  be read as text.
- Every format-evidence card says that successful opening and full content must
  still be checked after recovery.
- Candidate IDs, filesystem details, storage terms, exact byte counts, scores,
  hashes, and hexadecimal data remain in the collapsed expert record.

## Preserved behavior

- Preview reads only the already prepared image and never writes to the source
  USB.
- Automatic safe-workspace selection, capacity checks, same-USB reconnect,
  non-overwriting recovery, completion states, and output reports remain
  unchanged.
- Published R4 FAT32 and exFAT 1,000-file exact regressions remain retained
  recovery-engine evidence and are not R10 reruns.
- Distribution remains one installer EXE with Start menu, desktop shortcut,
  and Windows uninstall registration.

## Acceptance

R10 must pass the full Rust workspace, Clippy with warnings denied, deterministic
format-evidence and DXF tests, all three logical UI profiles, ten native Windows
11 states at 150%, the 17-test session/preview audit, release build, and
installer lifecycle verification.

## Remaining external gates

- Actual Windows 10 x64 execution.
- A destructive copy-delete-recover run on a separately provisioned test USB.
- Four of five real non-expert users complete the workflow without help.
- Additional USB vendors, capacities, and a physical exFAT device.
- Long physical disconnect and read-error endurance testing.
- Trusted Windows code signing and SmartScreen reputation.

Android remains deferred and is not included.
